Lemon Verbena Iced Tea by Kristina Urbonaite

Refreshing lemony summer drink, that takes only a few minutes to make. In this recipe we are using baking soda to reduce the bitterness, as boiling water releases the tannins of tea and makes it bitter. Alternatively, you can brew tea overnight with cold water.


1. Pour boiled water over Lemon Verbena.

2. Add sugar, baking soda, squeeze the grapefruit and lemon, and stir well. Leave it for 20min.

3. Strain the tea through a sieve and leave it to cool down completely.

4. Add a couple of mint leaves, few blueberries and a slice of grapefruit to the glass, fill it up with ice and cover with tea.
