Bistec Seasoning Paste

A peppery paste made with black pepper, Mexican oregano and garlic.

Recado de Bistec, from the Yucatan, is mixed with citrus juice to make marinades or is used as a seasoning for stews and escabeches.

Mix 30g of the paste with 50ml of fresh citrus juice and use to marinade 500g of meat or fish, then barbecue, fry or roast.


  • Serving Suggestion

    For 1 x 250g steak: Dissolve 15g of the Bistec Seasoning Paste in a 25g lime juice. Marinate for 30 minutes - 1 hour, then barbecue, grill or fry. Or mix 5g of Bistec Seasoning Paste with 15g butter.
