The second distillation is in a clay pot which adds an earthy note to the mesquite smoke profile.

Palate: dried flowers, smoky, vanilla, ripe apple, crisp and bright but earthy and rustic

Interesting fact: corte vetusto means 'ancient cut' and this mezcal is cut not with water but skillfully with the heads and tails of the distillation.
