Description

Dried whole kernels of maize with a distinctive chewy texture, when soaked and cooked they are added like beans to many savoury dishes but most famously Pozole.

Pozole is a savoury, brothy stew with pork, chicken or beans, traditionally served for celebratory meals with colourful garnishes like shredded cabbage, sliced radishes, diced onion, Mexican oregano, árbol chilli flakes, lime wedges and tostadas. Delicious with tostadas spread with crema and sprinkled with cheese on the side.
