Chile Pasilla is a medium-hot dried ripened chilaca chilli. Our powder is made from ground whole pasilla chillies.
Wrinkly-skinned pasilla chillies have a rich but tangy flavour that pairs well with red meat and mushrooms.
Add a pinch to sliced mushrooms, chopped garlic and coriander – fry in a little oil and serve on toast.
Powdered chillies don’t require any soaking or toasting so just add directly to whatever you’re making.
