Tequila - Añejo

Aged in oak barrels for one to three years, it has a deep golden hue and has flavours of agave as well as taking on other flavours from the wood. At its best, it is mellow and rich with vanilla, caramel and butterscotch flavours. The wood also adds flavours of baking spices and floral woody notes. In general, this tequila is meant to be sipped neat, but añejos also work very well as a whisky substitute in cocktails.
